With a great defensive typing in Water and Ground, as well as a fantastic ability in Water Absorb, Seismitoad can function as a decent Stealth Rocker and decent check to pokemon like Doublade and Rotom-Wash in the tier. Maximum HP and Defense, alongside a Relaxed nature, allow Seismitoad to better check common physical breakers, such as Darmanitan and Cobalion. Earthquake allows Seismitoad to punish pokemon that would be able to take a Scald, such as Toxtricity and Tentacruel. Toxic rounds off the set, being able to pressure pokemon that Seismitoad would otherwise be unable to touch, such as Rotom-Wash and Slowking. Knock Off is another option to punish pokemon that rely on their items, for example, Assault Vest Hatterene or Noivern. However, this comes at the cost of losing Toxic, which makes taking on pokemon like Rotom-Wash a lot more difficult.

Seismitoad struggles to check Strong Special Attackers, such as Kyurem and Keldeo, so partners like Jirachi and Roserade are very much appreciated. Scyther appreciates Seismitoad's ability to set rocks and weaken Rotom-Wash, and in return can threaten Celebi for Seismitoad. Terrakion and Lycanroc-Dusk appreciate Seismitoad being able to take on Palossand and Doubalde, and can punish most pokemon for setting up on Seismitoad. Skarmory can form a very strong defensive core with Seismitoad, as Skarmory can take on Celebi and Virizion, and Seismitoad can handle Rotom-Wash, Thunder vairants of Jirachi, as well as take on dangerous Fire types like Incineroar.

Seismitoad is blessed with an amazing offensive movepool, sporting amazing tools like Power Whip and Ice Punch. These tools let Sesmitoad surprise pokemon that would normally come in on it, such as Slowking or Noivern, and either cripple or KO them. These tools, alongside offensive investment, allow Seismitoad to have a way to beat almost every single hazard remover, making it very good at keeping Stealth Rock on the field. Liquidation allows Seismitoad to punish pokemon that would come in on Earthquake, such as Heracross or Flygon. Hydro Pump, alongside a Naughty Nature, is an option over Liquidation to hit Physical walls such as Skarmory and Galarian Weezing through their poorer Special Defense stat. Power Whip allows Seismitoad to offensively pressure fat water types, like Slowking and Rotom Wash, and Ice Punch hits Noivern, which would otherwise wall this set. Expert Belt is also an option that allows Seismitoad to achieve a clean 2HKO on Slowking with Power Whip, OHKOing Tyranitar with Earthquake after Stealth Rock damage, and 2HKOing Celebi with Ice Punch after Stealth Rock damage.

This variant of Seismitoad fits best on offense builds that appreciate it's ability to compress a wallbreaker and a stealth rocker into one slot. For example, Scyther enjoys having Skarmory lured by Hydro Pump, and Seismitoad's ability to check pokemon like Lycanroc-Dusk, Darmanitan, and Cobalion. Seismitoad still matches up very poorly against Celebi and Roserade, so teammates like Skarmory, Noivern, and Galarian-Weezing make good teammates. Hazard removers such as Rotom-Mow are able to effectively clear hazards from the field that would otherwise plague Seismitoad. Noivern in particular is a great partner, as they are both able to break down each other's checks very effectively. Seismitoad also struggles vs faster offensive powerhouses such as Terrakion, so faster pokemon like Noivern and Choice Scarf Mienshao make good teammates.

Hey, this analysis is currently somewhat lacking in the kind of quality we'd like to see in an analysis. It's somewhat missing the point of the sets given, and a lot of the examples given aren't really the most relevant in the tier right now and can kinda mislead the reader. Below I've gone through the analysis with some pointers and things to consider, but it needs a lot of work to be fully QC ready. This isn't a proper QC check, but please put this analysis back into WIP and implement everything below and try to consider some other things to add and change to be more metagame relevant and accurate before putting it back in QC. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or anyone on the QC team on discord.

With a great defensive typing in Water and Ground, as well as a fantastic ability in Water Absorb, Seismitoad can function as a decent Stealth Rocker and decent check to pokemon like Darmanitan and Rotom-Wash in the tier. Maximum HP and Defense, alongside a Relaxed nature, allow Seismitoad to better check common physical breakers, such as Barbaracle and Cobalion. (barb really isn't super relevant in the tier and isn't really the best mention as a result) Stealth Rock is the key part of the set, as Seismitoad matches up well against common defoggers, namely Skarmory, Galarian Weezing and Rotom-Wash. (seis doesn't have the best mus vs skarm and weezing really bc while you can 1v1 them, skarm isn't the most common fogger anyway and can stay healthy with roost and offensive weezing especially can really weaken seis so it can't do much except setting up rocks. also try to avoid crux of the set wording; just explain that it's a good rocker because of matchups or just delete this part entirely tbh; you don't really need to explaim what rocks do on a preview) Earthquake allows Seismitoad to punish pokemon that would be able to take a Scald, such as Toxtricity and Tentacruel. Toxic rounds off the set, being able to pressure pokemon that Seismitoad would otherwise be unable to touch, such as Rotom-Wash and Slowking. Knock Off is another option to punish pokemon that rely on their items, for example Slowking or SubRoost Kyurem. However, this comes at the cost of losing Toxic, which makes taking on pokemon like Rotom-Wash a lot more difficult. (neither of these examples are super reliant on items and would be better toxic targets in general. kyurem also subs in front of you so it's not getting knocked unless on the switch so you'd rather toxic that)

Due to it's quad weakness to Grass type attacks, pokemon like Noivern or Roserade generally make good teammates. Roserade also has the additional benefit of absorbing Toxic Spikes, which Seismitoad appreciates. Seismitoad is also vulnerable to all forms of hazards, so hazard removers such as Skarmory and Starmie make good partners for it. (again skarm isn't the most common or effective defogger and stacking seis + starmie isn't the most effective core either) Escavilier is a good partner due to being able to counter Kyurem, and enjoys Seismitoad checking Fire types. (escav isn't the most relevant pokemon in ss uu rn and doesn't really need a separate section for it as a team option) Choice Scarf Jirachi appreciates Seismitoad's ability to check Fire and Ground types, and can bring it in safely via U-turn. Having no reliable recovery outside of Leftovers means Seismitoad appreciates Wish support from pokemon like Jirachi and Sylveon. Seismitoad is also very prone to status, so Clerics such as Umbreon and Sylveon make good partners as well.

- in general, this section is being way too specific rn and the best way to write a seciton like this is to focus on general roles seis needs instead of specific cores like seis + escav and seis + scarf rachi. uturn support isn't the most relevant or important for a defensive mon in general; often you want to switch it into attacks it can take.

While the defensive stealth rock variant focuses primarily on checking offensive threats and getting rocks up several times through it's sheer bulk, this variant does things a bit differently. (don't cross reference sets like this) Seismitoad is blessed with an amazing offensive movepool, sporting amazing tools like Power Whip and Ice Punch. Earthquake is standard on Seismitoad, allowing it to beat common steel, poison, and electric types, such as Tentacruel, Toxtricity, and Bisharp. (you don't really need to explain what eq does) Liquidation allows Seismitoad to punish pokemon that would come in on Earthquake, such as Heracross or Flygon. Leftovers lets Seismitoad retain some defensive utility, giving it a small amount of recovery every turn. Expert Belt is also an option that allows Seismitoad to do a little bit more damage vs Super Effective targets. (be a bit more specific here with examples. you also don't really need to explain what lefties do)

Teammates to this variant appreciate both Seismitoads defensive and offensive attributes. For example, Scyther enjoys having Skarmory lured by Hydro Pump, and Seismitoad's ability to check Rock, Fire, and Steel types. Seismitoad still matches up very poorly against Grass types, so teammates like Skarmory, Noivern, and Galarian-Weezing make good teammates. Skarmory and Galarian Weezing get special note here, as they're able to effectively clear hazards from the field that would otherwise plague Seismitoad. Seismitoad also struggles vs faster threats, so faster pokemon like Noivern and Choice Scarf Mienshao make good teammates.

- again here try to be less specific with cores and think about roles it needs and the teams it fits on
