Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

Yeah...that was my first time trying out that build. If you never played against 100turnsohappytime you don't understand the endless battle. I fucked up in the build because it was supposed to be protect, as to protect from all situations. It would have been endless if it was protect and I had protected at the right time. And if you didn't have a shed shell. So...sorry for the mishap. I just wanted to get into the mind of someone I fell for 3 times before.

The basic premise it to skill swap or entrainment truant, then switch to a shadow tagger with protect and happy hour, and this can be endless with leppa berry recycle.

Also:
★shotglasstesting: you fucking troll
★shotglasstesting: trolololol
Also, out of context this seems contradictory. Thanks for leaving out what you said, FTR, before I claimed this.

★Flying Types Rule:sableye runs that set better

FTR suggesting that a lv2 sableye works better than a lv2 spiritomb.

Forgot to save the replay, but I encountered a BH team that had Flare Blitz+Head Smash+Oblivion Wing Entei, Frost Breath+Shadow Force Aegislash, and Prankster Mega Metagross. This is why I run Magic Coat Sturdinja.

I didn't know this existed 'til yesterday lol, but I have some funny sets to share from monotype (forgot to save replays though :[ )
SPECIAL Malamar with Hypnosis
HP Water Mega Manectric (Ice is the only HP you should run tbh)
Gallade with Hypnosis
and
SPECIAL Dragon Dance Latios
I sorta cried after that particular match (Malamar, Gallade, and Latios were on the same team)

Malamar, Gallade and Latios? In Monotype?

That might've been me with my Psychic Monotype team. Did it have Gothitelle on it?

If so it's probably my team. .-.

That team was pretty successful. I don't remember the win streak, but it did better than I thought it would.
Never mind, mine has Medicham, not Gallade.

It didn't have Gothitelle, no, and did you run those sets? I'm not saying the Pokemon are bad (although Malamar is a bit meh) but the sets were horrible lol, Malamar's only niche is spam Superpower for boosts, and D-Dance+Special moves is just weird lol and Gallade should never run Hypnosis. Ever.

I used Malamar and Latios on my Psychic team.

The whole purpose behind Malamar was to provide a huge amount of pressure early game. Rest Talk gave it a nice amount of longevity. Knock Off gave it nice utility and coverage.

Latios was more offense on the team. It had Trick Scarf and plenty of power.

One of theses days I might make a rmt on it.

Yeah those sets are good (I just hope your 4th move on Malamar was Superpower lol). ResTalk Malamar and Scarftios are their main sets, and they are decent and great Pokemon respectively, but Hypnosis+Special Malamar and D-Dance+Special Latios are not good lol

There are more wrong things about this battle than there are mons.
Nothing on either team is relevant in AG
Pangoro not using Knock Off on Trevenant
Pangoro using Drain Punch on Trevenant without Scrappy
Trevenant having Giga Drain and Confuse Ray
Rough Skin Assault Vest Sharpedo using Dark Pulse on Pangoro
Moonblast non-mega Altaria
Arcanine using Close Combat and Flamethrower on Altaria
Earthquake non-mega Charizard
Detect Absol (which at least was mega)
Scizor not using Bullet Punch on Absol while at +6, which probably would have prevented his loss
And the best part: One player complimenting the other on his team

That wasn't so bad. It's legal, it worked (for a while), and Jolteon doesn't get Minimize iirc. Now, if it were Chansey using Double Team, I might get concerned.
Sure it's legal, but why would you use Jolteon, and if you do, why would you use Double Team? Drifblim has Minimize, as does Smeargle, so both of those would be better choices--especially as they can pass the boosts to something better to sweep.

Alright, enough of that.

Just for the record, you can use moves other than Eruption and Water Spout on your primals. Just not Thunder P-don.

That Charizard looked like it was from someone's in-game team. From FRLG. Not sure what that Aggron was doing, either.

Shadow Ball Dusclops using Will-o-Wisp on Floatzel twice, unaware that it had Water Veil. Also why you should always run Focus Sash on Kadabra.

PU is a strange metagame, one where people forfeit after losing Dodrio, of all things.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-213559215
Mostly standard sets with the exception of Prankster Chansey, and that Cinccino... at least it had Skill Link.

Among other issues, Masquerain.

Uhh... Guard Split Accelgor kinda makes sense, but...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-213560167
At least two of Charizard, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo were not mega. And his opponent is the one that forfeits.

Yeah, nothing to say here.

Not only odd move choices, but some subpar ability choices as well.

This is one of my "What the hell are we doing?" moments. If you want to know, me and Deathly The King were arguing about how a certain set I created (http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...rated-sets-thread.3525317/page-3#post-6068978) and decided to test it 1v1. He said that Pelipper didn't need Motor Drive to beat Rotom-H. As you saw, Pelipper technically doesn't need to have Motor Drive to beat Rotom-H. I am still wondering how I managed to tank that Hydro Pump.

Edit: I didn't want to double post, so here is what I want to mention.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/classichackmons-214034063

This guys said in the OM chat that he only had 4 mons on his team. Naturally, I doubted his claim, until I battled him myself.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/classichackmons-214036376

He has a very bad team, obviously. How he made it to 1130....I'll never now.

Yes, that was inheritance, and the other guy had the misfortune to help me test one of my stall teams (Trick had been a problem for me as of late - hence the Heatran's nickname and lack of leftovers recovery, it had Mail). The reason I assume he started Sludge Bombing the Heatran was to hope to catch my non-poison heal Cresselia on a switch and force me to use a Heal Bell. Of course, I soon realized that it was going nowhere and decided to switch in the other thing on my team that couldn't be poisoned, alternating between Heatran and Doublade to conserve PP. Eventually, I predicted a switch to Chansey on my Doublade and burned it, thus crippling it and they forfeited. Of course, all this was after the replay crashed.
