From RU:
| 11 | Magmortar | 1494 | 11.741% | 1232 | 11.470% |

Isn't that, like, the biggest relative jump in usage ever? (it went up like 40 spots in one month and 8% in usage O_o)

But now Metang is RU. If it stays there next month too, that would be crazy.

| 38 | Rotom-C | 251 | 4.021% | 228 | 4.240% |

What is this thing doing in the OU 1337 stats?

Jynx is not represented as BL3 in its analysis page: its tier is RU (this being its analysis page).
I believe BL3 has something to do with the way Antar collects usage statistics.
(if that makes sense)

edit: slow
BL3 is a banlist for Pokemon voted broken in NU (just Jynx so far) like the other BL tiers. It just hasn't been uploaded to the site for some reason. Hopefully it will be soon.

NU will be dominated by stall. New Spinblocker and no more cryo :(
No it won't. Stall will still have as much troubles as it did before other than Magmortar. Cryogonal was extremely useful for stall - probably a lot more useful than Golurk will be - and Golurk isn't exactly a good Pokemon for stall. Armaldo is still in the tier and beats every single Ghost-type other than Golurk with a Swords Dance set

Thanks for the stats as always, Antar.

Lol now Metang is guaranteed to get a joke analysis for RU :P
Anyways finally Mienshao and Scrafty in UU. Can't wait to try them myself. I've been waiting for this day since ever. I'm also excited that I can use Nidoqueen as my Toxic Spiker in RU. I'm going to jump into the new metagames, headfirst.

Edit: Crap, I meant UU, but whatever lol.

I believe Abo will get even more usage this month thanks to upgraded Kyurem.

But Mew??
Mew is probably one of the most underrated in OU. it can run many different sets, and pretty much be customized for almost any team thanks to its versatility. Don't knock it before you try it!

Damn molk... I was actually seriously using metang on my NU team xD

Also Nidoqueen and Eacavalier in RU will destroy everything :3

If only mew got rapid spin.... :( It's just a matter of time... Seriously though, I'm surprised a former uber was in uu for so long. Mew is excellent but it's typing sucks. If it had a great typing like manaphy it's usage would sky rocket. I just wish we could get multi type mew. Just imagine all the sets... ;-; Bug mew, dark mew, ghost mew, dragon mew, ect...

Dang, Mew moves up to OU less than an hour after I post my non OUers in OU team featuring him, am I psychic or what?

Shameless plug for ratings: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3468835

I expect meinshao to be a dominant force in UU, much as meinfoo is in LC. And poor eelektross, I don't think he really deserves to be all the way down in PU.

As for OU, what's up with Feraligatr above stuff like Volcarona and Cloyster in the 1337? What can Feraligatr even run?

Coming from somebody who's used Feraligatr, its Swords Dance set is absolutely deadly in Rain, and it has the bulk to take a hard hit with a sliver of HP. +2 Torrent-boosted Aqua Jet in the rain is nothing to laugh at.

That said, 1337 OU is really a mixed bag. There's a bunch of lower-tier Pokemon clinching higher and higher spots, and Heatran is out of the top ten. Of course, BW2 will throw all of these trends out of whack, but it's nice to see some diversity up to the BW metagame's very end.

Hey I am on mobile so I cannot see the full list. Could someone link me the tier shifts or tell me them? Thanks

Here's the real question about 1337 OU: what the hell is Ninjask doing so high?

And something looks very problematic in 1337 DW...

Glad to see Abomasnow is finally moving up to OU. Abomasnow (and ice types in general) is/are very anti-metagame and will continue to be, even the BW2 new threats can be checked by powerful Ice Shards.

I was a bit surprised by the unusual pokes in the 1337 OU stats. Seeing the likes of Rotom-C and Ninjask alongside the usual Scizors and Terrakions was cool, as it's nice to see a bit of variety in the metagame.

Mew, Hippowdon, Abomasnow, and Deoxys-D are OU.
Snover (without Snow Warning), Porygon-Z, Scrafty, and Mienshao are UU.
Nidoqueen, Quagsire, Metang, Magmortar, Escavalier, and Cryogonal are RU.
Golurk is NU.

Scrafty and Mienshao in UU?

I have to play UU now. I just have to.

In other news, I'm glad Mew's gone up to OU. It makes me happy when people realize how good Mew really is. I'm pissed that Magmortar's RU now, though, because that shit was great in NU. Also, LOL METANG

| 55 | Slowbro | 8530 | 3.083% | 7049 | 3.092% |
Come on Slowbro, you can do it! You can make OU! Just a bit more usage!

Sand Stream and Snow Warning are what was banned from UU, and not the pokemon themselves. Therefore if the ability Sand Veil is banned, I could see this retest happening. But it would be a terrible precedent to set if you just started allowing any pokemon into a tier without certain abilities, unless the ability itself is banned. With your reasoning, something like Scizor should be tested in UU because without Technician it wouldn't be overpowered.
With Sand Stream and Snow Warning being banned but Hippopotas and Snover still legal, hasn't that "terrible precedent" already been set?

I know I'm like the millionth person to say this, but it's so funny how the NU community treated Metang like OU players used to treat Electivire, and now it's jumped to the tier ABOVE NU! :D

I'm actually a bit upset that Chansey didn't drop back down to UU. I was getting all ready to see all the meltdowns and chaos.

Not quite. If Hippopotas and Snover were banned from using their weather abilities but other Pokemon were allowed to use those abilities, that would be the precedent, but as it is, the ability bans apply equally to all Pokemon that might have them.

Of course, by that logic, a Sand Veil and Snow Cloak ban would be fine if applied to all Pokemon the same way. But that's only if people are willing to go for it.

I'm not fussed what happens tbh.

But if Sand Veil and/or Snow Cloak get released, a lot of people might want a re-testing of Sandstream and/or Snow Warning (which I'd fully understand), although I don't care either way personally.

As I understand it, the decision to ban Sand Stream was not just because of Sand Veil, but also Sand Rush Stoutland.
