Waffles just have those lovely divets, and I enjoy the texture more. Pancakes are still really tasty, but Waffles are S tier, imo.
Do you like French toast?
I eat Waffles every other day, and in different ways too. Most times with Peanut Butter with a bit of honey, sometimes with butter and syrup, sometimes with fruit, etc.

I'll be honest, it's not a easy choice, but Waffles are generally more flexible as a food, since you can have it both sweet & savory, while pancakes kinda suck unless sweet.

Well, we're not solving pancakes' lack of flexibility that way, since the problem is that they're a one-trick pony.

On average I vote waffles over pancakes since I think it goes better with a couple extra side items, but realistically I'm on the fence about this one. It really depends on my mood that day. Pancakes have a higher ceiling and a lower floor in my opinion, while waffles are generally more consistent from my experience. Pretty much what I mean by this is that Bad Pancakes < Waffles, but Good Pancakes > Waffles.
