Welcome, to Teammates for OU, shortened to TFO. This is a metagame where we make custom Fakemon that serve as teammates to base OU Pokemon in gen 9, creating a metagame that should be similar to base OU by the end.
Each slate, 3 base Pokemon that are B+ ranked or higher in the official OU viability rankings are submitted. These include Pokemon that aren't OU by usage, but still serve a strong niche in the tier, such as Skeledirge. For each Pokemon submitted, you create a teammate that serves as a really strong core with them. For example, if Kinggambit was submitted, you want a teammate that can help manage its 4x weakness to Fighting and slow speed, so a fast Psychic revenge killer would be a good choice. That Pokemon could KO any Fighting types that could serve a threat to Kingambit later on.
Reminder that Tera is banned in this format, so that should not be a factor when considering teammates. Even if a Pokemon that is reliant on Tera like Garganacal is submitted, consider other factors. Garganacal is vulnerable to special wallbreakers for example, so create a Pokemon that can easily cripple or knock out said threats. A good example is a special wall that resists the types Garganacal is weak to, and can cripple wallbreakers with moves like Knock Off. Without relying on a controversial mechanic, the metagame should be fresh and more interesting.
Also, realize that you do not need to restrict yourself. Consider every possible set each OU Pokemon submitted will use. You're allowed to create teammates based on any set, or multiple. Just try to be creative.
Despite the fact that every Fakemon submitted should serve as a teammate to an original OU Pokemon, these original Pokemon currently aren't planned to be included in this metagame. The reason for this is to create a more unique experience without bloating the original meta. Hopefully the end result will be similar to base OU, and all the teammates can work with each other rather than having to rely on canon Pokemon. However, after enough slates have passed, we may consider allowing the original Pokemon in if that's what the community desires.

Misc Rules:
- Custom elements are banned, as this metagame is trying to be similar to base OU without any new gimmicks
- Sprites are allowed for any new Pokemon submitted, but don't make it a part of your submission to prevent any voting bias
