Reluctantly, you answer the phone, only to find out is actually Baoba, the Warden of the Johto Safari Zone calling you!
"Hey ________, I've got great news! I've just finished the next model of the Safari Zone! You can catch even more Pokemon than ever before! Come check it out now!"
Realizing that this allowed you to get more pokemon, and a chance to have a little fun before you go through the Golbat infested cave, you decide to take his advice and fly over there.
You did such a great job catching Pokemon, that Baoba decides to make you Warden! However, there is one problem....
"That guy over there did just as well as you, and he defeated Ho-oh/Lugia. In order to see which of you shall become the next Warden, you'll have to beat the other in a Pokemon Battle!"

1. Due to the complicated nature of this Tournament, there will only be 64 participants. This will fill up quickly, so PLEASE only join if you are able and willing to meet very stringent deadlines. Substitutes will only be taken in the first round. Round one will be posted March 14th.
2. Each round will be placed at a different part of the game Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Version. There will be restrictions in level, Pokemon availability, TM availability, and item availability. These will be dependent on where you are in the game. As the rounds go on, more things will obviously open up.
This is the example format for rounds.
4. Only ONE Starter Pokemon may be used on any team, as well, this Starter Pokemon will be the only one you may use for the entirety of the tournament.
Starter Pokemon Include:
Chikorita
Bayleef
Meganium
Cyndaquil
Quilava
Typhlosion
Totodile
Croconaw
Feraligatr
5. Species Clause, Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, OHKO Clause, and Self KO clause are in effect
6. Regardless of whether or not you have access to them in game, this tournament will not allow any Pokmeon in the Uber tier.
7. There is no rule against scouting, however if you are in the tournament and you spectate a match that a participant asks you to leave in you may be disqualified.
8. All logs are to be sent to me for team verification and to eliminate the possibility of cheating.
9. Battles will be played on the Smogon University Server on Shoddybattle.
