Love it or hate it, stall stands its ground as a premier playstyle in the OU metagame. As a playstyle, stall aims to win by wearing down the opponent with residual damage while taking minimal damage itself. Thus, Pokemon that work best and are often found on stall teams are those that have high defenses; help minimize residual damage of fellow teammates, and can efficiently add to the residual damage experienced by the opponent. In order to minimize the damage one's own team takes, one must be able to cover as many prominent threats as possible with their combination of Pokemon as well as having Pokemon that can sustain eachother. This aspect is what makes stall a consistent playstyle as compared to others: by having Pokemon being able to sustain themselves and eachother one can make mistakes with smaller consequences.

TL;DR Stall pokemon or walls, both count!

Best of luck ;)

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss / Wish

Walls every special attacker bar gengar and specs keldeo. Great cleric and wish passer, while natural cure allows it to cures status just by switching out. Not really much to say, you guys should know what chansey does.

Taking Skarmory! Will write when I got home from my friend's :)

Dropping never mind. This thread has gotten too cluttered and pointless and honestly needs a fresh start to be good

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- U-Turn / Stealth Rock / Fire Punch
- Wish
- Protect

Many cool options for this round like Victini or CM Slowbro but I'm taking Jirachi as Jirachi is very good at the moment. Stall struggles with threats like Mega Gardevoir, Clefable (and fairies in general when using Mega Sableye) and Kyurem-Black because they can punch big holes in defensive cores. Jirachi takes on many pokemon that can be annoying for stall. A few examples:

Kyurem-Black
This thing is very hard to wall because of its good coverage and awesome wallbreaking power. Jirachi is in the short list (along with Cresselia, Bronzong and Mega Scizor) of pokemon who can take on both the physical set and the mixed set with Earth Power and Ice Beam.
252+ SpA Teravolt Kyurem-B Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Jirachi: 150-178 (37.1 - 44%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 147-173 (36.3 - 42.8%) -- 96.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 174-206 (44.5 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Mega Gardevoir
Many stall teams only have Chansey for Mega Gardevoir. When Chansey gets weakened or lose the 50/50 with Taunt/Psyshock it loses. Jirachi is one of the few pokemon that can take any hit and immediately KO back
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Jirachi: 92-108 (22.7 - 26.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 24 Def Mega Gardevoir: 236-282 (85.1 - 101.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Clefable
Calm Mind Clefable is a huge threat to stall because of Magic Guard. Clefable is easier to counter than Kyurem-B or Mega Gardevoir, but can still be a problem. Flamethrower does zero damage and Clefable gets 2HKOd by Iron Head. Jirachi can stay healthy with Wish and Heal Bell support.
4 SpA Clefable Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Jirachi: 92-110 (22.7 - 27.2%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Clefable: 168-198 (42.6 - 50.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Mega Diancie
252 SpA Mega Diancie Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Jirachi: 170-200 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Diancie: 316-376 (131.1 - 156%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Sceptile
252 SpA Mega Sceptile Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Jirachi: 105-124 (25.9 - 30.6%) -- 3.1% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Sceptile: 109-130 (38.7 - 46.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

NP Togekiss
+2 252+ SpA Togekiss Air Slash vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Jirachi: 93-111 (23 - 27.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Togekiss: 180-212 (57.8 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Quag counters/checks key threats alomola/slowbro stuggles covering that bulky grasses also sort of do.

Azumarill Belly Drum
Charizard (Mega-X) DD
Thunderus beats both waters and psychic beats mega venu
Excadrill SD scald only does so much
Landorus-T SD scald only does so much
Bisharp SD they don't like +2 knock offs
Dragonite DD lum berry screws with both waters.
Garchomp SD scald only does so much.

Scizor (Mega) SD kind of have to hope for burn for win.

Tyranitar (Mega) DD crunch does major damage.
Gyarados DD have to pray for burn

Manectric (Mega) Volturn wrecks water.

Victini Bolt strike lets it beat the waters.

btw Jernmax I feel like MegaHeracross should be somewhere in that list, it is a very potent stallbreaker that just so happened to not be nominated.
I see this list as a tool for people to use when looking for stallbreakers and leaving it out seems like a major shame

It's a wallbreaker and it didn't get voted on :) I don't choose what's placed where.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Thunder Wave / Heal Bell / Calm Mind

Clefable is a fantastic Pokemon, and with it's pretty amazing typing and ability, Unaware, with it's good stats, can wall a lot of the meta.

A lot of wallbreakers are actually hard walled by Clefable, or at least checked. For example, Tail Glow + Rain Dance Manaphy can easily bull through stall, but not with Unaware Clefable. Clefable, especially with these EVs, can counter Manaphy all the time, including burn damage, Scald in Rain can NEVER 2HKO (counting Leftovers). Which is part of the reason why Wish + Protect was chosen in oppose to Moonlight, because Moonlight Unaware Clefable can't beat Manaphy in Rain :C. It can also wall and beat many DDers such as Dragonite, Mega Altaria (The bulky ones can't 2HKO and the offensive one are beat with T-wave + Moonblast or at least crippled), Gyarados, Salamence, or even Mega Gyarados, since 248 HP / 204 Def always survives a +2 Waterfall and can T-wave and do a lot with Moonblast.

Surprise! It can also beat many CM users out there, SubCM Keldeo, CroCune, CM Slowbro, and even CM Clefable (w/o Stored Power) are all beat by Unaware Clefable. And if Calm Mind is choses it can even sweep!

Relevant calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 56+ SpD Clefable: 175-207 (44.5 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Waterfall vs. 248 HP / 204 Def Clefable: 331-390 (84.2 - 99.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Manaphy Scald vs. 248 HP / 56+ SpD Clefable in Rain: 153-181 (38.9 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and burn damage
252 SpA Keldeo Scald vs. 248 HP / 56+ SpD Clefable: 121-144 (30.7 - 36.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and burn damage
252 Atk Mega Lopunny Return vs. 248 HP / 204 Def Clefable: 175-207 (44.5 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

The Ghost

Slowbro @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock / Ice Beam / Fire Blast
- Thunder Wave / Toxic / Calm Mind
- Slack Off

Slowbro is one of the sturdiest walls in OU. With its cool typing and ability, Regenerator, it can switch into the majority of the physical attackers in the tier, most notably Mega Charizard X, and defeat them with status or its other moves while shrugging off most damage it takes with Regenerator.
Unfortunately Slowbro is weak to the Dark-type, leaving it vulnerable to Knock Off and Pursuit. Thus, it's adviced to have a second Pokemon to take on Pokemon such as Keldeo which are often paired with a Pursuit trapper.

Scald is just an amazing STAB move to have, burning while dealing damage. Psyshock is preferred in the second slot to defeat Substitute + Calm Mind Keldeo which has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, as well as hit Poison-types such as Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, and Toxicroak and working great together with Calm Mind to beat other Calm Mind boosters such as Suicune and Manaphy. However, Ice Beam and Fire Blast are good moves too, which hit Dragon- and Grass-types or Bug- and Grass-types, most notably Scizor and Ferrothorn. Thunder Wave cripples fast Pokemon, Toxic makes it easy to stall Pokemon out, and Calm Mind makes Slowbro a good answer to most other Calm Mind boosters. Slack Off is obvious recovery. The Special Defense EVs avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Keldeo's Hydro Pump if using Leftovers. If using Rocky Helmet you need more Special Defense investment to pull that off. The rest of the EV spread is pretty obvious, just HP and Defense with a Bold nature to take physical hits easily.

Sableye @ Sableite(I think)
Ability: Magic Bounce
252 HP/248 Def/8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind/Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse/Knock Off

Mega Sableye is one of the best pokemon in Ou and one of, if the not the best stall breaker. Magic Bounce means that all those anoying taunts and status moves are bounced back on the opponent, unless they have mold breaker. It has reliable recovery with recover, and the ability to shut down opposing stall pokemon with a taunt of its own. It also has others utility as a calm mind sweeper, which is a nice bonus to an already great pokemon. Mega Sableye also has excellent defensive typing, being immune to fighting types and only having 1 weakness. Sableye is not impossible to stop though. Mega Gyarados, Clefable, Mega Gardevoir and Mega Lopunny are some example of pokemon that can check Sableye. It should also be noted that Mega Sableye does not have to mega evolve to be threating immedientley. Prankster wisp, taunt and recover all are great tools for Sableye, as it means Sableye can burn physical attackers before they can sucsessfully perform a Attack, or taunt faster stall pokemon, as mega Sableye speed is really horrible. Mega Sableye is also a great spin blocker, meaning it's team can set up hazards without fearing rapid spin, which a very useful ability to have.
Here you go. If this is okay.
GrimoireGod, are you reserving Slowbro or its mega counter part (as they do different things).

Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Def / 24 SpD or 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpD
Bold / Calm Nature
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Knock Off / Toxic

The first thing that stands out about Alomomola is its 165 base HP stat, which allows it to pass huge Wishes, only behind Chansey and Blissey for the largest in OU. That's not all it can do, though, as it also has 80 base defense; while that may not seem like much, it still gives it very hefty physical bulk. Regenerator allows it to recover its own health when switching, which synchronizes very well with Wish passing. Scald is pretty much a must for a bulky water. It isn't going to do much damage, but it's used more for burning things anyway. The fourth slot is up to you; Toxic deals with stuff that can't be burned as well as walls that like to heal themselves, while Knock Off is, well, Knock Off. I've also seen Magic Coat in there to reflect Taunt and such, plus there were some players running a (somewhat gimmicky) Mirror Coat set a while back (but I don't recommend it). Alternatively, you can run a specially defensive spread to take hits on both sides of the spectrum and make up for that base 45 special defense stat.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers / Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream / Sand Force
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock / Stone Edge / Toxic
- Whirlwind / Stone Edge / Toxic

Good ol' Hippo. Since its introduction, this behemoth has been one of the most reliable walls in the game, walling everything from Talonflame to Terrakion to Thundurus depending on its EV spread. Speaking of its EV spread, the one listed is merely a suggestion for a more balanced build; feel free to go fully physical or fully special depending on what your team requires.

Then, of course, there's Sand Stream. If chosen as its Ability, Hippowdon hands its trainer the keys to the wide world of sand, helping its teammates even when it's not on the field. Pair it with Sand Rush Excadrill or Mega Garchomp and go wild!

With reliable recovery, Stealth Rock, phasing moves, a surprising 112 Attack to bite back with and that wonderful wonderful sand, this monster has everything it needs to tank the most powerful hits in the tier and shake up any battle it's in!

I can't help but think that this thread would be significantly more interesting in terms of debate if the specifications were slightly less broad. I mean, having 'walls and stall Pokemon' pretty much means you'll get a ton of standard sets for the likes of Skarm, Chansey, Venusaur etc before a completely arbitrary vote which pretty much serves no purpose. Comparing Pokemon in this way seems a bit odd when it's so broad- is there really any point comparing Skarmory and Clefable when they serve such enormously different roles?

This would be much more interesting if it was a touch more specific- off the top of my head, could do something like 'Heatran lures' or 'Baton Pass recipients', which would provoke much more creative discussion than simply copying standard sets from the OU analyses.

Feel free to disregard, but I reckon it would make this thread much more interesting personally.
