Fairy
========
Togekiss has decent bulk, a good defensive typing that provides a Ground immunity, and access to Roost, which ensures it can keep itself healthy throughout the game and stick around as a valuable team member. A good Special Attack stat helps it deal decent damage, and with access to Aura Sphere and Fire Blast, Babiri Berry Togekiss can be a good emergency check to Steel-types such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor. Air Slash allows it to deal with Mega Venusaur, a Pokemon that Fairy teams struggle with because of its bulk and typing. However, Togekiss struggles to deal significant damage to some threats because its best set is focused on taking on Steel teams. Togekiss also struggles to beat Celesteela, which is being used more over Skarmory on Steel-type teams thanks to its special bulk. Furthermore, Togekiss has a hard time finding a slot on Fairy teams because Clefable fills a similar role and has access to Stealth Rock, better bulk, and the ability Magic Guard, which means it can serve as a status absorber and ignore hazards; therefore, with all these traits, it is often more useful than Togekiss in many matchups.

Moves
========
Fire Blast allows Togekiss to take care of Steel-types like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Excadrill after some chip damage. Aura Sphere gives Togekiss a way to hit Heatran and Bisharp. Air Slash is key for taking on Mega Venusaur. Roost allows Togekiss to restore its health, allowing it to stay around long enough to help Fairy teams with difficult matchups like Grass and Steel.
Set Details
========
A Timid nature backed by 176 Speed EVs are used to outpace key Pokemon like Bisharp and Adamant Diggersby. 252 HP EVs is important for Togekiss to take a boosted Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor with the help of its Babiri Berry. The rest of its EVs go into Special Attack to ensure defensive Mega Scizor is taken down by Fire Blast. Serene Grace gives Air Slash more of a chance to flinch Pokemon with each hit.
Usage Tips
========
Use Togekiss to your advantage in the Steel-type matchup, as the coverage it gets from Fire Blast and Aura Sphere creates a guessing game to whether or not it will predict the switch to Heatran. Togekiss should keep itself healthy with Roost and pressure most Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Skarmory, but it has to be wary of Excadrill and Magnezone outpacing and KOing it. In the Grass-type matchup, Togekiss is able to pressure most Grass-types like Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn with Air Slash and Fire Blast. Keep it healthy with Roost when facing resisted attacks from Tapu Bulu, passive Pokemon like Toxapex, or a predicted switch. Togekiss should switch into resisted attacks like Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech for its teammates or attacks that Togekiss is immune to like Hippowdon's Earthquake. Air Slash can be used to wear down Pokemon that Togekiss's teammates struggle with like Hippowdon and Mega Venusaur. Try to preserve Togekiss's Babiri Berry if Mega Scizor is alive because Togekiss cannot take its boosted Bullet Punch once the Babiri Berry has been used. Be careful around common Pokemon that use status moves, as Togekiss getting burned by Will-O-Wisp from Rotom-W or badly poisoned by Toxic from Chansey and Porygon2 make it difficult to keep itself healthy. Thunder Wave from Pokemon like Porygon2 and Klefki will make Togekiss unable to have a chance to outspeed anything or cause flinches with Air Slash.
Team Options
========
Tapu Koko can take care of troubling Flying-types like Celesteela and Mantine that wall Togekiss and assist in pivoting to get in Togekiss on a predicted switch. Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu can help deal with Rock- and Electric-type Pokemon that threaten Togekiss like Tyranitar and Tapu Koko. Tapu Bulu can also use a Swords Dance + Substitute set to help break specially defensive Pokemon like Toxapex and Chansey. Azumarill can perform an important role in the Poison and Steel matchup as a wallbreaker with Z-Belly Drum; Jolly Return variants can take care of Mega Venusaur if Togekiss gets too worn down and can also help clean up in the Steel matchup after Mega Scizor is gone. Mega Diancie sets down Stealth Rock to help Togekiss wear down Mega Venusaur and can also help to keep Stealth Rock from being set thanks to its ability, Magic Bounce. Klefki can provide support in the form of Light Screen and Reflect, which can help Togekiss stay healthy longer and pressure Steel-types more safely. Klefki can also set up Spikes and slow down Pokemon with Thunder Wave, which can help Togekiss take on faster Pokemon like Latios and Greninja. Foul Play Klefki can help check Swords Dance Mega Scizor if Togekiss is unable to. Clefable can be used to set Stealth Rock to wear down Pokemon like Tapu Koko and Alolan Raichu and soak up status for its teammates. It can also be used as a Calm Mind sweeper if Mega Diancie is already being used for Stealth Rock. Life Orb Swords Dance Mimikyu can use its Ghost-type STAB attacks to help with the Psychic matchup and take down Pokemon that Togekiss struggles with like Gengar.

Other Options
=============
Fairy
--------
Togekiss can run a Choice Scarf set with maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Gallade and Keldeo and use Trick to lock passive Pokemon like Chansey, Celesteela or Mantine into one move; however, Choice Scarf Togekiss cannot keep itself healthy throughout the game and will get worn down easily by Stealth Rock.
Checks and Counters
===================
Fairy
--------
**Steel-types**: When Togekiss's Babiri Berry is gone, Mega Scizor can take it out and sweep its team after one Swords Dance. Other Steel-types like Excadrill and Magnezone also thrive once Babiri Berry has been used, as they outpace Togekiss and easily OHKO with Iron Head and Flash Cannon.
**Super Effective Coverage**: Electric-, Rock- and Ice-types like Zeraora, Terrakion, and Alolan Ninetales easily take care of Togekiss with their STAB moves.
**Special Walls**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey and Mantine easily wall Togekiss. These Pokemon need only be wary of the rare Choice Scarf Togekiss, as it could be running Trick.
**Stealth Rock**: Stealth Rock cripples Togekiss by taking 1/4 of its health each time it switches in.
**Status**: Togekiss is hindered by any type of status, as being burned or poisoned by Rotom-W or Chansey slowly drains it of its health, even with Roost. Additionally, Thunder Wave from Jirachi prevents it from moving first.
