[OVERVIEW]
Togetic's high defensive stats coupled with Eviolite allow it to perform the role of a bulky cleric while also making it the bulkiest Defogger in the tier. Its unique typing also allows it to check many Fighting- and Dark-type Pokemon like Primeape and Absol. However, if Togetic's Eviolite gets removed by Knock Off, then Pokemon like Kangashan and Archeops can 2HKO it with ease. Togetic is also very passive, and its typing isn't helpful for an entry hazard remover because entry hazards setters such as Ferroseed, Qwilfish, and Regirock put pressure on it and set up entry hazards freely. Additionally, if Togetic opts to waste a turn by using Defog or Heal Bell, then offensive Pokemon can come in and pressure it due to its passiveness. Lastly, Togetic's abilities are very mediocre; as a result, Super Luck is the only ability that Togetic can make use of.

Moves
========
Defog removes entry hazards for Togetic's teammates, which is important on defensive teams because it alleviates pressure from passive damage and thus helps hazard-vulnerable Pokemon. Heal Bell enhances Togetic's support role by allowing it to remove status from itself and its teammates; removing burns and poison is crucial for maintaining defensive solidarity. Roost provides Togetic with reliable recovery, making it extremely hard to wear down in conjunction with Heal Bell, and is necessary to overcome Togetic's Stealth Rock weakness in the long term. Dazzling Gleam is Togetic's best STAB attack that hits Fighting- and Dark-types for super effective damage and also makes Togetic somewhat less Taunt bait.
Set Details
========
248 HP EVs allow Togetic to come in on Stealth Rock four times from full HP. 252 Defense EVs in conjunction with a Bold nature maximize Togetic's bulk, allowing it to tank assorted hits from Stealth Rock users such as Regirock and Golurk as well as check a good portion of physical attackers such as Absol and Primeape. Eviolite makes Togetic even bulkier, making it the bulkiest Defogger in the tier. Super Luck is the only ability that Togetic can get use of, and it increases the chance of a critical hit.
Usage Tips
========
Togetic should use Defog to remove entry hazards; be aware of the health that hazard setters are at because they can usually just come in and set up their respective hazards back, so prioritizing damage is huge in order for Togetic to use Defog effectively. Be wary when switching in Togetic on Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Shiftry because they usually carry Knock Off. Togetic should also use Roost a lot on its checks and after it comes in on Stealth Rock.
Team Options
========
Togetic should be used on bulkier teams because it's too passive to use on offensive teams. Bulky Steel-types like Ferroseed and Aggron pair well with Togetic because they are immune to or resist several types, notably Poison, that Togetic is weak to. In return, Togetic can take on Fighting-types such as Primeape and Hitmonchan that threaten them out. Pokemon like Lanturn make for good partners for Togetic because Lanturn is able to check Electric-type Pokemon like Alolan Raichu and Manectric. Weezing also makes for a good partner because it is a secondary Fighting-resistant Pokemon that can reliably switch in on Knock Off for Togetic, as Togetic's Eviolite is significant and heavily relied on. Pair Togetic with Pokemon that are weak to entry hazards such as Pyroar, Oricorio-G, and Jynx; however, they might be pressured a lot because Togetic isn't the most reliable Defogger due to its weaknesses.

Other Options
=============
Thunder Wave can be used to cripple fast threats such as Pyroar while also being able to cripple setup sweepers like Carracosta. Flamethrower and Fire Blast give Togetic a way of 2HKOing Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile; however, it trades Heal Bell, which is generally very important. Toxic can be used to put setup sweepers like Carracosta on a timer and to hit opposing Pokemon that carry recovery moves, such as Gastrodon. Grass Knot is another option that hits Stealth Rock users like Regirock and Golem however its a mediocre option because its weak. Wish can be used to provide healing support to its teammates on bulkier teams; however, this is done better by Audino, as Togetic doesn't have room for Protect, meaning it doesn't have a way to ensure reliable recovery.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Steel-types**: If Togetic lacks Flamethrower or Fire Blast, Steel-types like Aggron, Togedemaru, and Ferroseed can come in for free and pressure it with their STAB attacks.
**Poison-types**: Weezing and Qwilfish can use Taunt on Togetic and set up entry hazards, while Skuntank can put a dent into it with its preferred Poison-type attack.
**Taunt**: Pokemon with access to Taunt like Pyroar and Skuntank cripple Togetic and make it setup bait.
**Electric-types**: Electric-type Pokemon like Alolan Raichu, Manectric, and Lanturn force out Togetic with their STAB attacks. The former can use Volt Switch and gain momentum, but Togetic can use Roost on their Volt Switches.
**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Abomasnow and Jynx are able to force Togetic out with their powerful Ice-type STAB attacks, but they must be wary of switching into a Fire Blast or Flamethrower.
