NOC Vote For Town Mafia - Day 4 - Scum Wins!

It's amazing how something can look so familiar yet feel so off.

As you lie awake in bed, at first glance, it doesn't seem like anything's changed. It's still your world...you think. Well at least, if there's something that seems different, you couldn't name it. So what's with this feeling of dread? Nothing looks "wrong."

After pondering it for a while, you decide you can't find any justifiable reason for why you're feeling the way you are, and give up. It's probably nothing. Everyone has "off" days, right? You're not really sure why you feel off, but you assume it's just "one of those days."

You go about your morning routine as usual. By the time you've left the house, you find your feelings of unease have waned, and you've become more comfortable with your surroundings.

Up until you walk amongst a crowd of people.

They look human. They act human. But their aura strikes an inexplicable fear into you that shakes you to your very core.

You do your best to examine them discreetly. Upon inspection, you determine that almost nothing about them is particularly abnormal. Key word being "almost."

It's the eyes. They were shaped like human eyes, no doubt, but they lacked any kind spirit or emotion. It certainly didn't help that their irises were pitch black.

You're beginning to think that you aren't in your world anymore.

In the midst of all the creepy eyes, you spot a familar face, one that doesn't look like some lifeless puppet.

Oddish leads you to a small group of people, who similarly seem to possess the regular human eyes that you're used to seeing back in your world. She explains that she's discovered a way out, and motions to a portal.

"The thing is...I highly suspect that there are doppelgangers among us."

Everyone looks at each other. A doppelganger? You almost want to doubt it, but after what you've seen, you think it may not be too farfetched. Still, one thing bothered you about that assumption.

"But wouldn't they have those creepy black eyes?" You ask.

"Contact lenses are a thing," Oddish answers.

Good point.

"Let's just say I've noticed some very odd behavior...I can't say what though. If I do, they can augment it. But I feel it. There's something off about this group. I think the doppelgangers want to go back to our world." Oddish may as well be standing in front of a wall, drawing lines between photographs.

"We need to weed them out and stop them here. And the only way to do that..."

"...Is to play mafia! Not me though. I'm gonna go through the portal and keep an eye on it. Y'all have fun though!"

Oddish leaves before anyone can protest.

Looks like you've got no choice. Everyone turns to each other once again with accusatory looks, ready to sniff out the doppelgangers amongst them.

Setup

- Nightless
- 6 Vanilla Townies
- 2 Mafia Goons
- Players may not self-vote except to hammer, but may self-hammer.
- Every day, the player with the most votes leaves the game (much as with a traditional lynch), but this helps their side's win condition rather than hurting it.
- If enough townies manage to leave the game that mafia are left making up half the remaining playerlist, town wins.
- If every member of the mafia manages to leave the game, scum win.

Sample Town Role PM
Dear _, you are Yourself. Yep, good old you, not a doppelganger. Basically, you're a Vanilla Townie.

Your goal as a townie is to help vote your fellow town members out of the game. You win if enough townies manage to leave the game that mafia makes up half the remaining playerlist.
Standard NOC Rules
- If you're alive, do not talk to anybody about this game outside this thread. If you are a spectator or dead, do not speak to anyone about the game outside of spec chat.
- Do not screenshot or quote your role pm.
- Do not reference conversations with the host that happen outside the game thread.
- Do not edit or delete your posts.
- If a person gains a majority of votes on them, they will be lynched and the day will end. Hammer is not in affect for day 1.
- If someone is majority lynched or deadline passes, any votes that happen afterwards will not count, even if I am not around to call deadline.
- Talking after hammer or deadline is prohibited.
- In the case of a tie, a no lynch will occur.
- At minimum, I would appreciate at least 5 posts per day phase, though this is not a free pass to just make 5 filler/one-liner posts and dip. I reserve the right to substitute anybody whose activity I consider unsatisfactory.
- I will grant only extensions under extreme circumstances.
- I sincerely hope it never comes down to this, but under extreme circumstances, I reserve the right to modkill. Due to the nature of the game, a modkill will result in an autoloss for that player's faction.
- Each phase will be 48 hours unless its extended or ended due to a majority lynch.
- Don't be an asshole. Seriously. I will say something/intervene if it gets too bad.
- Encryption is not allowed.

Btw I will say what I said last game about having good town solvers staying in the game so that we can have them continue solving. Unfortunately I am not sure who qualifies for this rank anymore :(

From easiest to hardest, who do you think is the easiest to read in this game?

Linked question, if you had to choose 4 people to not lynch this game for purely unreadabliltiy reasons. Who would they be?
