RU Yanmega (QC 1/1) (GP 1/1)

teachable

Banned deucer.
Yanmega @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- U-turn
- Giga Drain

Bug is typically not a great offensive typing, resisted by the most common defensive typing in Steel. However, that's where Yanmega carves its niche: it was blessed with one of the best abilities a wallbreaker could ask for in Tinted Lens, which lets it effectively ignore any of its would-be resistances. With Tinted Lens, paired with Choice Specs and 116 Special Attack, Yanmega is one of the scariest special wallbreakers to see at Team Preview. The majority of RU's special walls are either hit super effectively by Bug Buzz, such as Umbreon and Cresselia, or still chunked heavily by Bug Buzz due to Tinted Lens like Registeel and Mega Steelix. While some Pokemon are able to comfortable handle Yanmega's mighty Bug Buzz, such as Milotic, Toxicroak, Mandibuzz, Florges, and Porygon2, access to Giga Drain, Air Slash, and U-turn means Yanmega can handle its own checks or U-turn into a Pokemon that can. Sadly, Yanmega's downfall is quite the noticeable one: its typing and bulk leave much to be desired. Specifically, a 4x weakness to Rock-type moves, and therefore Stealth Rock, means Yanmega's opportunities to switch in are limited unless it is paired with a Defog user.

The paragraph itself looks fine overall but this part is pretty confusing

"Typically checks, like Cresselia, Registeel, and Mega Steelix, to the Normal- and Psychic-type special attackers in the tier, namely Swellow and Gardevoir, are decimated by the raw power of Yanmega's spammable Bug Buzz"

Like, I dont get why are you trying to say here. Just mention how stuff like Mega Steelix can even switch into it and that takes advantage of Pokemon like Cresselia and Umbreon thanks to its really spammable bug buzz. Right now it just looks confusing and why do you mention Swellow when it outspeeds and KOs? Ok, it kos swellow through tinted lens but nobody goes swellow on yan unless a predicted double. Rework that part a bit, it has too much unnecessary fluff.

Everything else looks fine. QC 1/1

I'll work on rewording, but the idea was that it weakens lix/registeel/cress so that Swellow/Gard can sweep.

Bug is typically not a great offensive typing, resisted by the most common defensive typing in Steel. However, that's where Yanmega carves its niche: Yanmega it was blessed with one of the best abilities a wallbreaker could ask for in Tinted Lens, which lets it effectively ignore any of its would-(AH)be resistances. With Tinted Lens, (AC) paired with Choice Specs and 116 Special Attack, Yanmega is one of the scariest special wallbreakers to see at Team Preview. The majority of RU's special walls are either hit super effectively by Bug Buzz, like such as Umbreon and Cresselia, or still chunked heavily by Bug Buzz due to Tinted Lens, (RC) like Registeel and Mega Steelix. While some Pokemon are able to comfortable handle Yanmega's mighty Bug Buzz, like such as Milotic, Mandibuzz, Florges, Toxicroak, and Porygon2, (maybe reorder the examples so it’s mons that giga threatens, then air slash, then mons it uturns out on to make it match the second list) access to Giga Drain, Air Slash, and U-turn means Yanmega can handle its own checks or U-turn into a Pokemon that can. Sadly, Yanmega's downfall is quite the noticeable one: It's its typing is typing and bulk leave much to be desired. Specifically, a 4x weakness to Rock-type moves, and therefore Stealth Rock, means its switch-ins Yanmega's opportunities to switch in (switch-ins are mons that switch into yanmega) are limited unless it is paired with a Defog user.
