Right, let's ignore the potential of a war with Russia and focus on some idiot talking about things that simply will never happen.so are we gonna keep throwing around hypotheticals regarding an immensely complex geopolitical situation abroad or focus on the the Trump campaign's (by their own admission) Japanese internment camps v 2.0?
This made my day because it's sadly so on point. lolDude fires from the hip and sprays worse than a high pressure garden hose.
When it comes to politics, the vast majority of people would think they are the right ones.Off topic post. I'm genuinely curious, please do entertain my simple question. What's in it for all the smogon brass? The respected of the community that are desperately trying to influence forum member's opinion. Why is it so important? I haven't liked one single president in my 31 years and wouldn't vote for none of em!! I HAVE NEVER VOTED, not due to lack of interest. Due to conflict of interest.
Hello, I'm average Joe. None of these big wig pay-to-play politicians have ever done shit that directly benefited me in my 31 years! I'm not even being selfish, though. That is what democracy is all about, vote who will work for you. You all can misguide this conversation wherever you want, but there has to be a reason. Help me understand what all the fuss is all about. Both candidates would have sent us to war, why? America's BROKE. The world is BROKE. Capitalism is failing, what does anyone of you have to gain by promoting one side of a filthy ass broken coin? Republican or democrat is two sides to one coin, that coin is capitalism.
You can piss and moan about white or black but to any one who is REALLY paying attention the only color that matters is Obviously, $green$. So...I ask again, what do any of you have to gain by presenting this utterly biased dialect? Please enlighten me.
The same can be said for literally every other ideology ever. That's how ideology works, you usually don't adopt one unless you think it's right...When it comes to politics, the vast majority of people would think they are the right ones.
Just like how people from nearly every religion would consider their own religion to be the right one.
But what about my economic anxiety!?!?Jeff Sessions being a racist fucklord
it matters because the president elect is a man that mocks disabled reporters, said the innocent central park five are still guilty, calls latinos rapists and criminals, encourages violence, has people in his camp suggesting reinstating interment camps, had anti-semitic campaign ads, and that's not even all of it! i could go on!Sorry for the double post. I just want to be clear where I'm coming from. People would have been angry no matter who got elected. I'm pretty neutral to the whole election cycle due to this mainly. I couldn't see either result being good because people would have been angry regardless who won. My decision not to vote is what it is,but what it ins't is some battle cry. I just wish things were better. I think we all do.
My question still stands. I just want to know why you all think it matters so much, it really doesn't matter if you think I'm stupid for that. Politics are one thing I have never truly understood and I'm not ashamed to admit that.
Because it's impossible to level criticism against Soros and Yellen without also hating all Jewish people, right? And instead of addressing that criticism you label it a anti-Semitic conspiracy theory and beat him over the head with it, because that isn't the same kind of cheap political brow-beating that let him win the election in the first place?
how is that not literally coded anti-semitic language? let me put a picture of a jewish person and show that they have The Money And The Power. i assume you're not jewish, but i am, and it's easy to be sensitive to these kinds of things when that's literally a dog whistle for anti-semitismBecause it's impossible to level criticism against Soros and Yellen without also hating all Jewish people, right? And instead of addressing that criticism you label it a anti-Semitic conspiracy theory and beat him over the head with it, because that isn't the same kind of cheap political brow-beating that let him win the election in the first place?
I really hate it when you people make me defend Trump, because I'm by no means a fan of his either, but when you quote demonstrably ridiculous nonsense like this I have no choice. Please stop it.
You're only going to get apathy out of me from now on.Man, I cannot WAIT for 4 more years of Trump because of people like VonFiedler.
There's gonna be more salt than french fries to put it on!
No one belittled anything. What happened was a prioritization of issues that mattered to a cross-section of socio-economical minority communities a.k.a the NOT-Majority populace. And yes that includes calling out bullshit rhetoric like All Lives Matter. I was also gonna write a bunch of stuff why but then it's already there in this thread reiterated patiently multiple times by various posters, but clearly you either lack the wisdom or the literal ability to read, before you barged in with full confidence - do your homework. No, trump won because PC liberals and the white working class is tired of their problems being belittled by SJWs and harassed for anything they say that doesn't align with their ideals. As a minority or a white american, people who aren't racist, misogynist bigots are fucking tired of being called racist misogynist bigots for voicing their opinions. College presidents having to apologize for saying "all lives matter" instead of black lives matter in support of the ferguson riots?
Don't even try to tell me the SJWs and PC liberals DIDN'T lose a huge portion of the white working class vote for Clinton. People like Laci Green and their blind one-sided balance did more to win donald trump this election than donald trump did himself.
Honestly though, maybe I'm biased, I doubt this aspect of human mentality is specific to Americans.America 2016: where people elect the president based off how many people it pisses off
How exactly is "all lives matter" bullshit rhetoric? Isn't that the point of equality? If you try to tell me that's not politically correct you're 1. proving my point about PC being taken too far and 2. advocating INequality by suggesting black lives are somehow more important than others. No one belittled anything. What happened was a prioritization of issues that mattered to a cross-section of socio-economical minority communities a.k.a the NOT-Majority populace. But it's indeed interesting that you would see it as belittling. It's almost as if a certain class of people are anxious not to be at the center of things, or worse probably to blame to some degree for the issues of others. hmmmmmm.....
If you're calling me racist you're again proving my point. PC, SJWs and third wave feminism are fucking disgusting. If you don't want to believe that's why americans voted for trump and want to insist half the country is racist, I'm not going to bother listening because nobody who voted for obama went "YOU KNOW WHAT I HATE NEGROS IMA VOTE TRUMP".How many different ways do we have to show "policy x is motivated by racist thought y and is championed by known racist z" until we stop getting "I'm so tired of being called a racist" responses.
