I believe this doesn't work. I think that if you use Magic Room while choice locked, Magic Room will be choice locked after Magic Room ends.

I threw together a Mega-Pinsir HO team willy-nilly, and knowing that Deoxys-D is the premier hazard setter for teams like this was enough for me to be successful with it without putting much effort into picking the other members.

Well, it's not as much of an issue as you think. I can cripple both of those with Knock Off, Psyshock is a solid 2HKO after hazard damage, and they both let me set up hazards. I can always force them out with a Perish Song, and they won't survive a Perish Song as my enemy's last pokemon...
