Diana/Memoric was bludgeoned by ancient weaponsDear Serpent/zorbees,
You are Grant Danasty.
You and your comrades were plotting to overthrow Count Dracula, but were no match for his army. As punishment you were turned into a demon and set to guard the Clock Tower of Untimely Death. Until Trevor freed you, that is, and you set out to seek revenge with him.
You are a specialist capable of only using a few weapons exceptionally well. If you find yourself holding a cross or some holy water, you’ll use them as if they were knives instead. In addition, you have knife proficiency: when you use a knife, you will hook your target without anyone’s help.
You are a master of the weapons you can use. If you ever use a weapon successfully you’ll gain the Double Shot, allowing you to use that weapon twice per cycle in the future. Use it successfully twice in one cycle, and you’ll gain the Triple Shot and be able to use it 3 times per cycle. You’ll still have to consume one heart per use, you still can only use one type of weapon per cycle, and you have to gain the double and triple shot separately for each weapon.
You can help a lot because you are very fast. So fast in fact, that you can cling to surfaces, move around in midair, and outpace enemies. You can target an alias each cycle and by testing their skills with your acrobatics you’ll learn their abilities.
You are allied with the Vampire Hunters. You win if The Cursed and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
A voice boomed: "Apollo/Asek, YOUR TIME IS UP!" Asek was consumed by his own shadow, never to be seen again.Dear Diana/Memoric,
You are the Doppelganger.
You’re hanging out in the villa as a notoriously tough boss, even a cut above Death. The idea of doppelgangers comes from Egyptian mythology. It is said that if someone meets their doppelganger, its intent is to murder him or her so it can take over their role in life.
You do whatever your opponent can do. Better. Each cycle you may target an alias. You will use every action they were going to use including weapon actions against them. Actions copied in this matter have higher priority and cut through protection. The sole exception is that for every action your target used on themselves you will use the copy of that action on yourself instead of your target. For all investigative purposes, your target’s role PM will be used instead of yours this cycle.
You can’t hold items, but you can copy them. You can’t use conventional weapons or your team’s thief action, but when you target a user who has weapons you will permanently be able to use each of their weapon actions as if you were holding your target’s items.
You are allied with Dracula’s Inner Circle. You win if The Cursed and the Vampire Hunters are eliminated.
RESULTS GOING OUTDear Apollo/Asek,
You are a Flying Gargoyle.
You’re not so different from other flying enemies, but you’re bigger and are better suited to attacking people on the stairs. Fuck Castlevania stairs, they really just don’t make any sense.
Your signature pattern is like an xsinx function, your amplitude increases as you move laterally. You can change the heart count of an alias each cycle, but the amount it will change is different each cycle. On C0 you’ll give your target a heart, on C1 you’ll remove one, on C2 you’ll give 2, on C3 you’ll remove 2, and so on. This is a high priority action.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
tbh I think we got a bit luckyAnd I was worried about Village being weak from game design lol
Manticore/Granny Pie's death is soon to follow.Dear Cockatrice/MoodyCloud,
You are Death
You are the Grim Reaper himself and Dracula’s right hand man. It really says a lot about Dracula that you’re so loyal to him, you keep bringing him back from the dead and giving hunters hell before they have a chance to see your master. Unless it’s Simon’s Quest, in which case people can just walk past you no problem.
Being death, you have a chilling gaze which pierces the soul. You can target an alias each cycle, and you will divine their full Role PM. You can also empower this action with X number of hearts and when you do, your target will be doomed to die 4 - X cycles from now. Your target will know they are doomed, but not when they will die. They can’t be saved by any kind of protection, but if they are targeted with Holy Water before their time is up, they will be cured of this affliction.
In every fight you summon wicked scythes to annoy the crap out of your enemies and provide a large amount of protection. If you could get your hands on a cross, your cross would turn into 3 scythes. You have cross proficiency, which allows you to target different aliases with the protection and persuade portions of the weapon’s effect.
You are holding a Knife.
You are allied with Dracula’s Inner Circle. You win if The Cursed and the Vampire Hunters are eliminated.
What of the winners, what of The Cursed?Dear Manticore/Grannie Pie,
You are Trevor Belmont.
The last of the legendary Belmont family and a genuine Vampire Hunter. Your Clan had been driven out centuries ago because the people feared their strong supernatural powers. If you can kill Dracula and all his creations, you will bring honor to your family name for generations.
You are a master of the Wallachia War Items.
Your long chain whip is very useful. Once every two cycles you can whip a target. You will take all their weapons.
You are the greatest vampire hunter of your time, and you wouldn’t be a very good hunter if you couldn’t keep track of your stuff. No one can steal from you if they use a generic steal action. If they request something specific on your person they will be able to take it, however.
You are holding a Cross.
You are allied with the Vampire Hunters. You win if The Cursed and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Mercury/Paperblade,
You are an Axe Armor.
You mostly inhabit the indoor dungeons Dracula controls. In pretty much every game you step back and throw axes. It’s an easy job. so you can’t complain.
Every 3 cycles you must choose to do one of the following exactly once each in that period.
-You can throw axes up. An axe thrown at eye level is a good height to intercept most weapon traffic, so your target will be protected from all weapon use that cycle.
-If you feel like it, you can instead throw axes down. An axe thrown at the knee caps is likely to ward away all pickpockets, so your target will be protected from theft.
-Otherwise, it’s no big deal, you don’t have to throw axes. You can just walk backwards holding a big ass shield, protecting yourself from kills.
Being an axe armor, you’re pretty good at using axes. You have axe proficiency: when you use an axe you’ll track your target’s regular actions in addition to determining their weapon use, steal 2 hearts instead of one, and kill a user with no hearts even if they are protected by a cross.
You are holding a Holy Water.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Neptune/KnightsofCydonia,
You are a Medusa Head.
You are a true staple of the series, and (excluding major characters) a strong contention for its mascot. Your annoying pattern of attack and infinite spawning makes clunky platforming and careful fighting a nightmare to remember.
Your strength is in numbers and your reputation is well earned. You have one vote for each heart you have but if you’re persuaded, your vote will count for 1 instead.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Mandragora/shubaka17,
You are a Skeleton.
You’re a common enemy who guards sloped areas by tossing bones in a parabolic fashion. You never seem to run out though, even though they’re coming from somewhere…
Your bones don’t really do much, but they’ll draw the eye and distract your target each cycle. While they’re staring you’ll get a good enough look to determine your target’s role name and win condition.
You are holding an Axe.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Magician/penguin344,
You are the Red Gates of Death.
You are a red skeleton with a whip. What’s cool about red skeletons is that they keep getting back up when they die.
You’re used to kicking around in the dirt and flirting with death. When a player is lynched, you’ll be first on the scene to rise up and grab any weapons they had. You can pick up duplicates this way, but you must pass them to other players as soon as you can.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Unicorn/MK007,
You are a Fishman.
You show up in every water level, jumping out in droves randomly and aggressively. You aren’t strong, but you’re tall enough to make things annoying.
You’ve got an army waiting in the depths, you just need to tell them what to do. Each cycle you may spend 3 hearts to target an alias. If at the end of the cycle you targeted a dead member of The Cursed, you will permanently copy their action. You can use this as many times as you want as long as you have hearts to spend.
You are holding a Holy Water.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Salamander/Ullar,
You are a Slime.
You don’t show up that often, mostly because you need to be in a narrow corridor to be effective. You bounce at varying heights and that’s usually enough to do something productive.
Being a slime you’re pretty sticky. Whenever a player uses a weapon against you, it will be lodged in your body and you’ll automatically steal it at the end of the cycle.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
Dear Uranus/Jalmont,
You are a Fireman.
You are a walking guy made of fire that shambles around in the Catacombs. You’re a real piece of shit, too, hanging around in small corridors at the end of a jump leaving little flames and making it impossible to cross. Even killing you normally is a chore.
You’re big, and nobody covers a space better than you. You can step in front of a target each cycle, and any actions that would have targeted them will target you instead.
You’re something of an expert in leaving fire on the ground. You have holy water proficiency: when you use holy water, only you will find out who targeted your target, and the safeguarding effect extends to all actions. You may also decide to restrict it to a beneficial or harmful safeguard if you wish.
You are holding a Cross.
You are allied with The Cursed. You win if the Vampire Hunters and Dracula’s Inner Circle are eliminated.
