Platter of Vegetarian Beef (OU RMT)

So yeah, this team is getting me a good record(36-4), but I've been losing lately mainly because of a hax fest. Anyways, I'd like to see some things cleared up about this team.

Strategy- to get rid of counters for Machamp and Infernape and sweep after I finish off their counters

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
6 /252 Atk/252 Speed
-SR
-Trick
-Explosion
-U-Turn
Description-This Azelf has been able to give the advantage by either blowing up on their lead, killing it with Fire Blast, or U-turning out to a counter. It beats all those Trick Scarf leads by blowing up on them. It even beats those new Smeargle leads who "claim" to beat every lead out there.

Synergy- Usually, all it does is get those Stealth Rocks up, and allows me to get off to a great start. I'm really happy with this.

Changed Azelf because I needed
both rocks and a scarf, so I went for this.

Scizor @ Leftovers
Adamant
252 Hp/ 252 Atk/6 Sp. Def
-Roost
-Pursuit
-Bullet Punch
-Swords Dance
Description-This is my sure fire counter for Gengar, Starmie, and Azelf. Either you get hit with Pursuit or as you switch out you get Bullet Punched. It's poke one of my Ghost cleanup crew. Pursuit is to clean up Gengar, Bullet Punch is for pwnage STAB, Roost is for healing, and Swords Dance is to attempt a sweep.

Synergy- Takes Ice Beam/Punch aimed for Zapdos and takes and Psychic's aimed for Machamp and Infernape. Pairs up nicely with Machamp and Zapdos.

Put this over Metagross so I could counter Heatran better.

Zapdos @ Life Orb
Timid
6 HP /252 Sp Atk/ 252 Speed
-Thunderbolt
-Heat Wave
-HP Grass
-Roost
Description- What can I say? This Zapdos is irreplaceable to this this team and has a lot of synergy. It takes care of Skarmory, Swampert, Scizor, Lucario and softens the opposition up, making it easier to sweep unhindered. Thunderbolt is just a pwnsome STAB move, and Heat Wave is for Scizor and Lucario. HP Grass pwns Rhyperior and Swampert.

Synergy-This thing has incredible synergy. It makes an extremely good defensive core with Machamp and Metagross. It really takes out the counters for Machamp and Infernape, allowing them to sweep easier.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Modest
6 HP/252 Sp Atk/252 Spd
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt
-HP Ice
Description- This is the second part of the Ghost killing squad, and my revenge killer. It out speeds Rotom and kills it off with Shadow Ball. Focus Blast for Ttar, T-bolt for Gyara and Skarmory, and HP ice for dragons.

Synergy- takes out more counters to Infernape and Machamp.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Jolly
6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Speed
-Swords Dance
-Flare Blitz
-Stone Edge
-Close Combat
Description- Before I say anything I will make this clear: I will not give up Flare Blitz. It's power has saved me too many times, even the recoil is devastaing.(I wish it had the side effects of Close Combat.....) Anyways, I digress. SD Infernape has so much potential, I even think it's a better poke than SD Luke. It has tons of surprise value, and it doesn't lack in power too much and is still faster. A lot of the time, when I SD, they switch to Salamence, Gyarados, or Zapdos. Big mistake. Stone Edge KOes them all with Intimidate factored in and no Stealth Rock needed. It needs more attacking power compared to SD Luke, but, half the time, they to switch two times because they think it's MixApe, giving him two SDs.

Synergy-Well, the rest of the team(bar Machamp) does what it's supposed to do to give Infernape a clean sweep.

Machamp @ Leftovers
Careful
252 Hp/ 6 Attack/ 252 Sp Def
-Dynamic Punch
-Bulk Up
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
Description- The second star of the show, next to Infernape. This thing is amazing. Even though you may think a Cursing Ttar is better, you're wrong. For one the Confusion from Dynamic punch allows him to get free bulk ups and secondly he doesn't lose speed that could save him. He really cracks stall wide open and can easily set up on all physical walls with the exception of Hazers and Phazers. He really is potent and irreplaceable. After about 4 bulk ups its hurts stuff badly that's even resisted.(and beleive me, it's very easy to get those bulk ups)

Synergy- Defensive Core with Zapdos and Meta, and basically is the of the show.

Here's a log of Machamp working.

I am testing CBWeavile over CBLax.
RMT!!!!!

Where da Stealth Rock at? This team is offensive, so the extra damage is very valuable. I'd honestly consider putting Stealth Rock on Azelf somewhere or converting it to a SR/ Fire Blast/ Boom/ U-Turn or Taunt lead @ Focus Sash. You don't really beat Bronzong with that lead (it can just set up on your face since it lives a Fire Punch or kill you with Gyro Ball), which are much more common than Smeargle leads. This lead at least allows you to 2KO with Fire Blast and you already have several good revenge killers in this team (Scarfgar, Bullet Punch Metagross and Infernape) so I doubt the loss of the Scarf will really hurt.

7. Bumping. If your team is interesting enough to comment on, people will do it for you. If no one at all comments on your RMT for around 24 hours, feel free to bump it. After that, do not bump it again unless you are making significant changes. "Stealth Bumps" will not be tolerated. Moderators and Administrators can see your deleted posts, so do yourself and us a favor and don't even attempt this.
You're kidding if you're "bumping" your own thread in about 20 minutes after your post. I deleted your bump post but please don't do it unreasonably again.

Alright, sorry jibaku.
I just want some substaintial votes. I made a change anyways by trying CbLax over Meta. Tell me what your opinion on this is.

I really love CB Snorlax (read my signature xD), but sadly, Pursuit is illegal with Selfdestruct. It is not, however, illegal with the E-Punches like it was pre-platinum, so take advantage of that. I also suggest Superpower over Earthquake, but I suppose that could go either way. Your call.

Edit: I really like the idea of Snorlax eliminating Ghosts for Machamp to come in and do his thing. Nice Strategy.

This team looks pretty good. Nice Job. I will edit this if I see anything else worth mentioning.

I'm pretty sure that Selfdestruct is from XD and Pursuit is an egg move... Either way though, I like the team. Nice job

Yeah, thats what Shoddy says, but its incorrect. The creators of shoddy didnt take the time to add something like XD to the list of where you get your moves because of how irrelevant it is in gameplay (I wouldn't have either). If you were to look at Snorlax's level up moves though, Selfdestruct is not there.

Hopefully that makes sense :/

Pursuit and Self destruct IS legal. Get pursuit from a father T-Tar, trade it to XD, teach it Self Destruct, then trade it back and migrate it.

This is 100% incorrect.

Snorlax's ONLY Egg moves in ADV are as follows:

- Lick
- Charm
- Double-Edge
- Curse
- Fissure
- Substitute

Come on people, do your research before you post something like this. Selfdestruct is a 3rd Gen move tutor (XD) and Pursuit is a 4th Gen Egg move. In other words, incompatible. Please replace either one with a different move, as illegal combinations are frowned upon (even though Shoddy doesn't have that implemented yet).

Ok, fine, I'll replace selfdestruct with Fire Punch.

How's that Machamp working in practice? I don't really see it being viable since it gets screwed over by low PP. 8 PP is not gonna cut it when you get walled by ghosts and pressure users.

Wth, did you even read the RMT? Sleep Talk makes up for lack of PP(I'ver never had the problem). Gengar and Snorlax are mainly for killing Ghosts, Suicune is beat by Zapdos, Weavile stands no chance, Raikou easily is screwed over by STAB Dynamicpunch, and go ahead and think of whatever other Pressure users you can. It's still very good on the field.

yah you might as well fight it with a gengar or anyother ghost lol. Instead of bulkup put stone edge
*sigh* Look at the post above your post Rahi, and shut up. Can people start reading the dang RMT? I already have the Ghost problem checked a long time ago.

First off I would probably run a Focus Sash Azelf, since one you trick, you're basically screwed, and Sash is generally the better option to use with setting up Stealth Rocks. With the sash you're free to attack other leads as well, not just trick and flee. That's really a personal preference, but I truly believe it's the better option.

I noticed that you have a pretty big SD Lucario weak. After one SD and with SR present it can possible 6-0 your team. Since your Zapdos isn't bulky at all, he really won't help. I would probably suggest that you make your zapdos a little more bulky, this is a spread that I run:

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Timid (+ Spe, - Atk)
Evs: 252 HP, 76 Speed, 182 Sp. Attack
Pressure
- Thunderbolt
- Heat wave
- Hp Ice/Toxic
- Roost

This spread allows you to outspeed Adamant Lucario, and then the rest of the spread gets you some bulk while still allowing you to do some damage. You could even shift over the Sp. Attack Ev's towards Defense if you want to be bulkier, but since it seems like you like using him as an attacker I would probably stick with that Spread. If you're worried about Jolly Lucario, than you can run 176 Speed, and you outspeed Adamant Lucario.

I also probably think that a Offensive Suicune could fit over your Gengar right now. It still counters what Gengar is "countering" while providing bulk and a pretty good defensive check in. It gives you another check in to Heatran who can pretty much run through this team after they realise you're running a CB Lax who can't heal itself.

Speaking of CB Lax, if that's working for you keep using it by all means. But if it starts to slack off, I would really think about using a CurseLax or just a RestTalk lax since it really want's a reliable way to recover health. He is your only check into Gengar/Heatran, and when he's taking at least 30+ damage every time he switches in, he's gonna go down early and gonna leave you in a deep hole throughout the game. If you do take the advice on giving Snorlax a way to restore health, consider a MoP Cross over your Infernape. MoP Cross is a great late game sweeper, and he could probably give you a great offensive threat to this game, and a decent switch into Tar. (Machamp won't like switching into CB Earthquakes to much.) Consider Stone Edge over Bulk Up so that he can be a decent Restalker and not get walled to hell by Rotom, Gengar, and other pokemon of the like. And also so he won't be "Set up fodder" for Gyarados/Salamence, who won't think twice before DD'ing up on a Stone Edgeless Machamp.

I'll check back in a bit to see what your thoughts about these suggestions are.

252 HP / 176 Spd / 80 SAtk Modest gives Zapdos better stats than the EVs you gave.

Oh, well there you go. Thanks for the correction Jibaku, would it still be better if I put the other EV's in Defence? (Serious question, for my own use though, maybe his if he wants to go down that road.)
