Pokemon Generations: Anime shorts series featuring game highlights from all generations

Thanks.

But he's the leader of the E4, in Gen 1 KOing with Hyper Beam doesn't get you a recharge turn so it makes sense but here...come on he should know better than to use Flamethrower of all things.
I'm pretty sure attack used was Hyper Beam, not Flamethrower. Lance's Dragonite didn't know Flamethrower in Gen 1. I'm not sure if it ever did.

It defiantly looks like Flamethrower. Hyper Beam is portrayed as a white monocolour beam as far as I remember in all incarnations.

Hmm, I don't think I liked this one as much as the other episodes. This episode seemed like one where the short time really becomes apparent. It felt to me like they had trouble fitting everything in that they wanted to. I liked Agatha's voice though. Really sounded like a witch/evil old lady which is what you'd expect from Agatha.

The move still looks like Flamethrower...I mean, it is red and looks like flames.
I suppose so, but Hyper Beam has looked like that before. I went to Bulbapedia, and the only time any of Lance's Dragonites knew Flamethrower was in the rematch against him in FRLG. While it's not impossible that they used that battle as reference for Dragonite's movepool in Generations, I kind of doubt it, considering the fact this episode took place during Blue's battle. In gen 1, the only fire type move Lance's Dragonite knew was Fire Blast in Yellow, which doesn't look the way it did in Generations.

After rewatching this, I find it interesting that Lance just ordered his Pokemon to "attack" and not state a move. Pretty nice touch imo.

EDIT: I like how this turned into a debate on what move he used. CLEARLY, Attack is confirmed Gen 7 move!

I agree that the dialog was stunted, which is disappointing cuz you'd think being made in English first would result in a better quality...

Aside from a few mismatches of character speaking and lip flaps, I thought the newest episode did a great job on the animation.

Agatha's smile is seriously creepy.

We're all watching to catch a glimpse of Lorelei anyway.

The vibe I got from the E4 was more like they were an evil organization that anything else, don't know why. Just seems like they were more adversarial than excited (all Bruno did was crack his knuckles lol.)

Lots of implied epicness in this episode, although I must say its lack of budget is showing. We see trash-talk before and after battles, but the battles themselves last for a few seconds, if we see them at all. Then again, the few times they've done them in the Anime, full six-on-six battles take nearly a full 25-minute episode to show, so maybe the little glimpses we see is the best we can get for this short format. Still, I'd rather see a clip-show of epic battle moments than lingering shots of Blue walking through doors.

Yeah, his conversation with Agatha actually got me interested in him as a character, as well as his relationship with Professor Oak. Though I'm not sure if that'll ever be touched on. With that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if we at least saw Blue again, considering the fact that he's a Kanto gym leader in GSC/HGSS and has a cameo in BW2.

My favourite thing so far was the Game Corner looking like a huge lit-up casino. Also how the Elite 4 have been portrayed as antagonistic and being aware of incoming challengers. I like that the region champion challenge is established as something very few attempt or even complete, compared to say, the anime where collecting badges is something everyone and their mother has accomplished.

I suppose the purpose was to focus of ep3 was Blue's characterization, I do wish we got more action anyway. You could definitely feel that there wasn't enough time, whereas the ep2 gave us everything we needed in its short run time. Gengar deserved more! Seeing Pokemon in action in good animation is amazing. Probopass looked ridiculously cool and threatening when it's zipping around trying to crush you like a Thwomp while the mini-heads are shooting lasers at you.

I'm just disappointed we likely wont get to see the other MC's (and starters?) in this animation of the montage of ep1 is anything to go by. Red and Pikachu... do everything! Or just go to Mt. Silver and stay there instead. I love the vignette style at least.

Episode 4 should come out today, right? I think it'll probably be about a side character à la Looker, since we just had something about Blue. Either way, I really look forward to this, given how good the previous episodes were.

That Fire Punch at the beginning was awesome.

Dialogue was better than the previous episode and we got some more action. Also great music and set design.

Hi Gold.
