I'm gonna go with Liepard. At work atm, but I'll write up the post properly when I'm on break. Thanks for reviving this Orphic!

Liepard @ Expert Belt
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty / Naive Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot
- Play Rough

So...Liepard. Why does this set work effectively as a lure? Well regardless of what set Don uses, it usually doesn't have any reason to fear Liepard. Sure, having your eviolite knocked off sucks or having your utility move (boost or SR) encored sucks but you can avoid that by just hitting Liepard with EQ or Megahorn which will almost always (miss, or 75% chance with EQ) OHKO. The common t-wave doesn't even threaten you. So really, what does a Rhydon have to lose whether the match starts off 1v1 or he's switching in later? Well with this set, quite a bit actually. DDDON will always be OHKOd by GK. Don comes in thinking it can fire off an EQ or scare you out? Nah its dead. The tank set needs a little bit more prep work. Assuming you knock off eviolite first, which isn't that hard to do during the course of a game then GK will do at least 96%.

Running this set does not detract at all from Liepards effectiveness, in fact it even lures other pokes and is an effective mon on HO teams. For that though, I'll let you check out Punch's post on a different thread.

I think Liepard is missing a bit of the love lately, noones saying it's bad but with the previous drops the two dark mons Skuntank and Shiftry DO have a great niche/playstyle difference which warrants using them. Also new toy syndrome. Regardless I firmly think Liepard is the best dark type in NU atm.

Tl;dr
Grass knot hurts, Don usually has no reason to fear Liepard so they'll play sloppy and end up eating a teensy bit of prior damage or be outright OHKOd by knot. No detriment at all for running this set.

Muk @ Expert Belt
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 Spa / 176 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Giga Drain
- Gunk Shot
- Ice Punch
- Fire Blast

This is a a bit of a weird lure but one that I have used before with some success. This is used to lure in double dance rhydon more then tank rhydon as double damce is always 2hko'ed by giga drain while tank rhydon can take two in most situations. The ev spread allows muk to outspeed max speed adament rhydon. This set relies heavily on Rhydon switching in. It isnt the best lure around for rhydon but its a really fun one despite that.

80 SpA Expert Belt Muk Giga Drain vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 259-307 (73.5 - 87.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
80 SpA Expert Belt Muk Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 178-211 (42.9 - 50.9%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO

P.S: Ty Orphic for bringing this thread back :]

Skuntank @ Life Orb
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Grass
- Defog

Rhydon is known as one of the most reliable Physical Skuntank switch-ins, so the specially based Defog set smacks it with HP Grass :)

Arbok @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Coil
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch
- Seed Bomb / Aqua Tail

Even after a coil boost, sometimes Arbok just fails to do enough with damage but luckily it learns Seed Bomb and Aqua Tail which makes it a great lure.

Arbok just needs one turn to set-up but thankfully Arbok has a plenty of opportunities to Coil boost on more passive mons. Seed Bomb and Aqua Tail both 2HKO after a boost and
Shuca berry lets you live an Earthquake so your able to take it out on the second attack. Seed bombs usually the better option since it hits Quagsire but it's personal preference.

16+ Atk Rhydon Earthquake vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Arbok: 136-162 (44.5 - 53.1%) -- 26.6% chance to 2HKO

+1 252+ Atk Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 248-292 (59.9 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 276-328 (66.6 - 79.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Kecleon @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 200 SpA / 56 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot
- Flamethrower

200 SpA Life Orb Protean Kecleon Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 421-499 (101.6 - 120.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Kecleon @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Natural Gift
- Drain Punch

252 Atk Liechi Berry Protean Kecleon Natural Gift (100 BP Grass) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 292-348 (82.9 - 98.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

2 Fun Sets which the first I have used successfully on the ladder and the second I just came up with.
The first is basically to kill off a Rhydon which wants to tank a hit from Kecleon and kill it instead with a Stab Grass Knot.

The second is to kill Rhydon after knocking its eviolite off when switching in or getting the chance to kill it with Spike support

Audnio @ Audinite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Grass Knot / Surf
- Calm Mind
- Fire Blast / Wish
Offensive MDino can lure Rhydon in and smack it with Grass Knot, easily 2HKOing even the tanky set with Grass Knot. Surf is generally more useful coverage-wise, but Grass Knot hits Rhydon harder.

Persian @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Fake Out
- Double Edge/Return
- U-turn/Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Grass]/Water Pulse

Fake out persian's biggest problem is how hard it gets walled by rock types but with technician it has the ability to run a 90 base power hidden power. This allows a guaranteed 2hko on fat don and it gives it a chance (granted very small) to ohko dd don. Water pulse can be run either to hit archeops but generally you want hp grass as it allows it to hit not just rhydon but quagsire, carracosta and kabutops for massive damage.

0 SpA Life Orb Technician Persian Hidden Power Grass vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 296-354 (84 - 100.5%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
0 SpA Life Orb Technician Persian Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 203-239 (49 - 57.7%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO

Lure for Defensive set

Archeops
Ability: Defeatist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Roost

As Rhydon is one of the main switch ins to Archeops this lure really works great weakening Rhydon to help teamates as Tauros / Scyther (or himself ) so they can spam your stab moves.

252 Atk Archeops Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 240-284 (57.9 - 68.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I'm not Orphic or in control of this in any way but its super nice to see everyone contributing to this. Maybe because Don is easy or everyone wants to help keep a project going but its super cool and shows the people are there for stuff like this.

Vivillon @ Life Orb
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Hurricane
- Giga Drain

Normally defensive Rhydon is a safe switch in to Vivillon, as even a +3 Sharp Beak Hurricane fails to 2HKO. But with the combination of Life Orb and Giga Drain, at +1 you get an solid OHKO on all Rhydon variants.

+1 252 SpA Life Orb Vivillon Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 421-499 (101.6 - 120.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
