Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I can confirm Aurorus learns Encore by level up. Rock Tomb (though obvious) is also in its movepool. I can edit with a pic later, but probably won't because I'll be playing the game.
Well, yeah, but I wonder if when you switch in, and then the next turn your opponent decides to switch out, but you Mega Evolve, if it still traps the Pokemon even after the selection is made. That's what'll make/break MegaGar.
Yeah, but even without recovery (provided he still gets Ice Shard), access to Rapid Spin along with calcs lead me to believe that this guy is going to be at least UU.
And since SR now does 20% (NOT CONFIRMED), he'll be able to switch in a little easier, too.
It's in the spoilers thread, its a...
Geomancy alone makes Xerneas better than Fairy Arceus from a pure offensive standpoint. That, and Xerneas actually has slightly higher offenses not limited to Fairy moves.
Hey, so remember Avalugg? That thing is RIDICULOUS. Here are the top physical hits it'll take in OU:
Spread is 252 HP / 252+ Def.
Conkeldurr (OU Substitute + Focus Punch) Focus Punch79.2 - 93.56% Stone Edge29.7 - 35.14%
Toxicroak (OU SubPunch [Life Orb]) Focus Punch70.04 - 83.66%...
Xerneas's bulk isn't amazing by uber standards, but it is pretty good. You need some investment that would much rather go into attacking.
With Xerneas looking at 95-110 speed though... that's not even funny with PH Geomancy.
Not to mention Klefki learns Spikes, and probably thanks to its steel typing, Stealth Rock as well.
It's that Full-Hazards Prankster 'mon we've always wanted O_o
I always viewed Glalie as kind of like Gardevoir; there always seemed like there should be something more, that the other one was always unquestionably better (not that that'll change much).
And so if GF is using Fairy as their go-to "fix it" typing, than Glalie should definitely get it...
Calc'd, this thing has only like a 600-660 BST, possibly worse than Kyurem. Yeah, I'm on page with everybody not believing this thing is fully realized yet.
The way I interpreted it was that roller blades came off when you walked in the grass... idk how accurate that is but I've seen a lot of footage.
I assume the bike can go in grass, so that's a really subtle (if the only one) difference.
According to the picture with Mega Gyarados, Yveltal has 135 base HP, plus or minus about 20. I'm guessing he's the tank while Xerneas is fast and offensive.
At 14:38, this Nintendo rep specifically says "As a player, it's fun to imagine how each Pokemon will turn out with Mega Evolution. I want to see what happens to every single Pokemon, how they will all look as Mega Evolutions."
CoroCoro said that not every Pokemon will get Mega Evolutions, but...
I don't even think that Fairy being resisted by Psychic has been disproved. For all we know (and I've watched a lot of playthroughs of the demo so this seems feasible), Exeggutor could've been retyped to Grass/Fairy, and according to WPM leaks, Fairy was neutral against itself. I know this is...
